The Fragile X Society encourages research into fragile X through the participation of its family members in fragile X studies. Since the Society was established in 1990, the Society has been involved in over 55 studies.
The Society is keen and willing to help potential researchers and welcomes requests from researchers for the participation of our family members in their studies. However there are some basic guidelines to which we would expect all potential researchers to adhere to.
Researchers seeking the Society’s support for their studies are required to send their study protocol and evidence of ethics committee approval to the Society’s Research Committee for consideration.
Go to Society’s Research Policy
In the first instance we recommend researchers send a brief outline of their study, its aims and study group criteria to:
Sally Hicks
Trustee & Research Officer
The Fragile X Society
Rood End House
6 Stortford Road
Great Dunmow
Essex
CM6 1DA
or email a request to info@fragilex.org.uk
