Making a Donation to The Fragile X Society

The Fragile X Society relies on the support of members and friends to enable it to undertake its important work of supporting fragile X families, raising awareness of fragile X and encouraging research into the syndrome.

If you can provide any financial support it would be extremely welcome, and we present a few ways in which you can give below.

Online Giving

You can donate online very quickly and easily!

Simply use our entry in the justgiving website which provides charities with facilities to fundraise and donate online.

Cheques

If you would prefer to send a cheque, please make it payable to The Fragile X Society and send it to Tim Potter, Managing Director, The Fragile X Society, Rood End House, 6 Stortford Road, Great Dunmow, Essex CM6 1DA.

Regular Giving

If you would like to spread your gift to the Fragile X Society by making a regular gift per month, or quarterly or annually through your bank account, please Contact Us for a Bankers Order Form.

Gift Aid

Increase the value of your donation at no extra cost to you.

If you are a UK tax payer, the government’s Gift Aid scheme means that the Fragile X Society is able to reclaim the tax paid on your donation. This means that every donation can be increased by 25 pence for every £ if the donation is 'gift aided'. This costs you, the donor, nothing, as the gift aid is paid by the taxman and all you need to do, if you have not done so already, is to complete a gift aid pledge.

If you would like us to claim back the tax on any donation you make to the Fragile X Society please use our Gift Aid Declaration Form. (Please note that a new window will open for this form which is in pdf file format).

Payroll Giving

This is a tax fee way for UK taxpayers to make weekly or monthly donations to the Fragile X Society. Each time you are paid, a donation is deducted by your payroll office before tax and sent to the charity of your choice, so that a donation of £10 a month costs a basic rate taxpayer £8 (the taxman pays the rest!).

For more information please contact our Treasurer, Mrs Ronnie Stoneman, telephone 01842 812015 or email info@fragilex.org.uk or Contact Us

Deed of Covenant

This is a tax effective way for individuals to give to the charity of their choice over a period of time. It is a reliable, long term source of income for the charity and helps us to plan future projects.

It is a legal obligation by the individual to pay a specific amount to the Society for a specified number of years (a minimum of 4 years).

The payment can be made weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually by Bankers Order into the Society’s bank account until further notice from the donor.

If you would like to make a Deed of Covenant to the Fragile X Society please Contact Us for a Deed of Covenant form.
