Earlier this month Alison Livingston, Siobhan Boyne, and Jackie Watt organised a charity Zumbathon which was held at the Aberdeen Sports Village. Ticket sales were kindly donated to fragile X, with 60 tickets bought in total, and online tickets selling out in just 10 minutes!
Siobhan says, “The reason why we chose this charity was because one of the ladies in Alison’s class has a son with fragile X syndrome, so when we were deciding who to give the money to we asked people in our classes, to see if anyone had any charities in particular they wanted us to support”.
The total amount raised was an incredible £525.28! This donation will enable us to continue providing our services and support to individuals and families with fragile X syndrome.
Everyone at The Fragile X Society would like to thank Alison, Siobhan, Jackie, and all those who attended the event for their kindness and support.
